Create a client

Register the company or person receiving the service, with the right contacts and location.

Before you start

  • Have the name, address and site coordinates ready. Search the list first to check that the client does not already exist.

Open the new-client form

Open Clients in the menu and choose New Client. Fill in the required name. Check the proposed number and add the trading name and tax identifier where applicable.

Add contacts

Use Add contact for each person and enter the available contact details. Choose the communication types each contact should receive; do not duplicate the same person for each type.

Enter the location

Enter the street, city and postal code. Enter the exact site latitude and longitude: the creation form requires them. Check the point on a map instead of using approximate city coordinates.

Add instructions and save

Use Technician Notes for access instructions and Items to bring for preparation, one item per line. Review the details and choose Save. If an error appears, correct the indicated field before saving again.

Check the result

The client record opens and the client becomes available in equipment and work order selectors.

If something gets in the way

Unable to save?

Check the name, latitude and longitude, including the minus sign where applicable. Also read any message about permissions or plan limits. Do not create another client to work around a validation error.
